RIVCHPP CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR FUBARA ON HIS BIRTHDAY.

..... CARRIES OUT FREE SURGERIES AND EXPANDS QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR RIVERS RESIDENTS IN HONOUR OF THE GOLDEN JUBILEE BIRTHDAY OF THE GOVERNOR.

Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), through the State Ministry of Health,  has congratulated the Governor of Rivers State,  Amaopusenibo (Dr.) Siminialayi Fubara,  GSSRS,  on the occasion of his golden Jubilee birthday, saluting the Governor's visionary leadership even as the Ministry prays for grace for the Governor to continue to pilot the affairs of the State.

The State Commissioner for Health,  Adaeze Chidinma Oreh,  who sent the congratulatory message to Governor Fubara,  GSSRS,  during a press briefing in her office in Port Harcourt,  riled out the programmes and activities that the Ministry,  through RIVCHPP,  has dedicated to carry out in order to honour the Governor on his 50th birthday.

According to Dr. Oreh,  the Ministry,  through RIVCHPP,  will fully enrol the following vulnerable groups into RIVCHPP's equity plan: children in State run homes, residents of correctional centres, and  pensioners etc.

The Health Commissioner, who also announced the enrolment of 50 000 vulnerable persons across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, in collaboration with Local Government councils, into RIVCHPP's equity plan, and the carrying out of 50 free surgeries, for this one week to commemorate the Governor's golden Jubilee birthday,  for persons already enrolled into the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF)and equity schemes of the agency,  said that the Ministry is taking the bold steps to further reinforce the Health4allRivers agenda of the present administration,  and to ensure comprehensive and free health coverage for those who need it most, removing financial barriers to essential medical services.

Dr. Oreh,  however,  warned that the Ministry would not condone any form of exploitation or compromise in service delivery,  calling on residents of the state to take advantage of the golden opportunity that is provided by the golden Jubilee Birthday celebrations of Governor Fubara, urging families to enrol their vulnerable loved ones to the various schemes of RIVCHPP.

Buttressing what the Commissioner has said,  the Acting Executive Secretary of Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme [RIVCHPP], Dr Vetty Agala,  that the packages riled out in honour of the Governor, are to reiterate and emphasise what Sir Siminialayi Fubara,  GSSRS,  has, and is doing for the people of the state in the health sector, saying that the services provided for enrollees of the agency entail even secondary health care services,  when referrals are made .

Dr. Agala,  however,  clarified that though the agency pays for surgeries for all categories of its enrollee, those that are under the informal sector of its schemes,  enjoying the simjara and other packages,  have to pay 15%  on drugs, and drugs for beneficiaries are those on essential drug list.
